    1869: 10 bani blue, two fine margined examples used on complete 1871 Printed Matter entire letter to Marseille (mailed during the Franco-Prussian War), neatly tied by "Braila / Dim" datestamp (1/11) in black (Kiriac fig. 439). Framed "PD" at left and red French entry marking (Nov 8), Marseille arrival cds (Nov 9) on reverse. A n extremely rare and attractive usage. Unusual "JSMAIL" handstamp (Kiraic fig. 1525) and framed "P.D." in same ink below; with "A" transit and Strasbourg French entry mark in blue (Oct 9). Cover endorsed "via Roustchouk & Varna" with reverse showing transits of Austrian P.O. in Constantinople (5/6), "Lloyd Agenzie / Constantinopoli" (7/6) and Piraeus and Athens datestamp of receipt. Taxed for inland delivery at 20 lepta with Greece Large Hermes 1870/71 10 lepta orange on blued paper (2), margins touched, tied by Athens datestamp (May 31).     1871: 10 bani blue (Type I) and 1872 15 bani red, fine large margined examples used on 1872 cover to Vienna, neatly tied by "Berlad" datestamp (March 26) in black (Kiriac fig.485).  Further strike of Berlad datestamp at right and framed "PD" on front, reverse with two flaps missing but showing complete Jassy cds (28/3) and Vienna arrival cds (31/3). Interesting Plate Flaw on the 15 bani with cut in outer frame line at upper left and large break in first "I" of "Cincis".
