    1901: 2 pi. orange in a horizontal pair tied to 1906 registered cover from Erzurum to Istanbul tied by triple framed all Arabic ERZURUM handstamp struck in black (Coles & Walker fig. 50) with Erzeroum cds alongside at left and arrival on reverse of a fine cover. Signed Nakri.

    1917 (April 29): 10 pa. green postal stationery card used to Brunswick, Germany up-rated with 10 pa. green and 1917 10 pa. violet all tied by fine strike of AVIATION BRANCH No. 1 cancellations in black; with circular 'Feldwetterzentrale / Konstantinopel' cachet below. There was close co-operation between the Turks and German forces over meteorolgy-the Turks supplying a network of weather stations and the Germans the scientific knowledge. A rare and delightful card. Ex collection Bill Robertson.

    1867 (Jan 13/26): Entire letter from Constantinople to Livorno franked by December 1866 Liannos 20 pa. black on green tied by bold strike of POSTE LOCALE / CONSTANTINOPLE datestamp in black. CONSTANTINOPEL cds of Austrian P.O. above (Jan 26) and thence by Italian Steamer with small cartridge 'Piroscafi / Postali / Italiani' alongside. Charged 70 centesimi on arrival with '7' handstamp in black. Reverse with Brindisi cds (Jan 30) aand Livorno cds in red. The adhesive with stains but a scarce usage. Cert. Tevfik Kuyas (1983).

    Ganzsachenumschlag 5 Kr. mit klarem Zweiringstp. "Wien 27/3 74 7. A" mit rücks. Durchgangsstp. via Sisak und Karlovac über den Grenzübergangspunkt Zavalje (Kroatien) nach Bihac (Bosnien). Für die Strecke von Zavalje nach Bihac mit Türkei 1869 20 Pa. grün + 1 Pia. gelb, beide weit gez. nachfrankiert und mit kleinem Negativstp. von "Bihake" gestempelt. Der Stempel ist ausserordentlich selten. Sehr seltene Frankaturkombination. Ex Sammlung Poulie.
