    Dutch Indies 1859 (Nov 23): Entire letter from Batavia to Copenhagen, endorsed 'p. Overland Mail via Marseille' at top, struck with "Batavia" despatch cds in black, red circular PAYS ETR. / V. SUEZ AMB. in red on front (Jan 11, 1860) and reverse with Thurn & Taxis and Danish P.O. in Hamburg cds's (Feb 22) in black. Red crayon "18½" on reverse (assessed 9½ sgr. for Java to France, 5 sgr. for French share, 1 sgr. Belgian share and 3 sgr. German share = 18½ sgr. = 80 skilling). Charged "89" in manuscript red crayon on front (80 sk. + 9 sk. Danish share) due from recipient. A fine and unusual entire.
