Fascinating letter in Italian with full translation in English accompanying the lot - "We landed about Aug 1 at Capo D'Istria. There were 400 of the Patriach's men in the town but we captured the place without loss ... a number of traitors were given up and put to death ... we grappled with three Genoese galleys and came so close to one of them that her shots passed over our poop deck ... after I had written the above we stormed a place called Selessia, we then went on to Segna which we took by storm and sacked, we found iron, brass and timber there ...".
