1870: Occupation stamps Alsace-Lorraine / Okkupationsmarken NDP Elsass-Lothringen 10 c. bistre-brown and 20 c. blue, both with normal underprint 'burelage droit' on underpaid entire letter to Barcelona, each adhesive tied by "MÜHLHAUSEN IM ELSASS 28 4 71" cds in black, a clear information strike and framed "Affranchissement insuffisant" in black alongside. 1870: Occupation stamps Alsace-Lorraine / Okkupationsmarken NDP Elsass-Lothringen 5 c. green-yellow, 10 c. bistre-brown (crease), and 20 c. blue, a pair (corner fault) and a single, all with normal underprint 'burelage droit' on entire letter to Barcelona, each tied by "GEBWEILER 18 / 5 71" cds in bluish black, an information strike and framed "P.D." in red alongside. A weiterfranko of '4' groschen is noted on front in blue crayon with 2½ Gr. for France and 1½ Gr. for Spain. A weiterfranko of '4' groschen is noted on front in blue crayon with 2½ Gr. for France and 1½ Gr. for Spain. An exceptional entire with Spain being an extremely rare destination for the occupation period. ELS. 4 DECBR. 71" datestamp in bluish black, a crisp information strike and framed "P.D." in red alongside. A weiterfranko of 'wf 4' groschen is noted on front in blue crayon with 2½ Gr. for France and 1½ Gr. for Spain. An extremely rare destination for the occupation period.
