    1939/46: The Exhibit collection of Airmails during World War Two with covers and ancillary items (140), many neatly presented on leaves with covers from September 1939 including mail to and from Turkey during the War, some wonderful and rare covers noted with April 1940 cover to Perth, Australia; June 1940 to both Egypt and South Africa, 1940-41 covers to UK, 1941 cover to USA via Sydney, 1941 cover to Lisbon via Belgrade, 1941 cover registered to the Gambia, Sept 1942 horseshoe route registered cover to Canada, 1942 covers to Germany via Sofia, 1943 cover to USA via Egypt and Lagos, 1943 card to India via Beirut, 1943 covers to Denmark, Finland, Hungary and Sweden, 1945 covers to Ceylon, Sweden and Switzerland latter two with 'OAT' marks, Censored Mail, Airgraphs etc. A remarkable and most interesting collection.     Note: Turkey had, prior to the start of the War in September 1939, no direct airmail links with any other country.
