30 reis, early Worn Impression, the spectacular horizontal strip of three on July 1848 cover from Diamto addressed to an Apostolic Missionary in Rio de Janeiro, obverse struck with negative "DIAMTO." handstamp in black, the exceptional adhesives (with large margins all round, third stamp small scissor cut in margin only) from the First Composite plate, State B, positions 8-10, being tied by manuscript "Agencia do Diamte...Julho de 1848" and by part "Correio Geral Da Corte" arrival datestamp (July 20) in black. A rare example of the ¾ ounce rate and a delightful cover.
