    1856: Jefferson 5 c. red brown, attractive example with two large margins and shaved at right, used on entire letter endorsed "By the Prussian Closed Mail" to Leipzig, Saxony tied by both "Newport/RI" datestamp and "N.Y. Am. Pkt." debit datestamp (Sept 23) in black. Circular "Paid 5" in red at left with reverse showing Aachen transit cds in red and arrival in black. Scarce and appealing entire.
