    1881 (July 1): 1 c. vermilion on yellowish, plate I, imperforate, the famous and unique Interpanneau block of six, showing the 27 mm. gutter margin (sheet 1-B) spacing between the panes and two vertical tête-bêche pairs (positions 49-50/42-41) and 'nail-head' in sheet margin alongside position 50; with large margins all round and of fine fresh colour, unused without gum. Just eighteen pairs exist (with 10 in the famous 'Hausberg' block of 70) according to Brian Moorhouse (Haiti Philately, September 2011), this being the second largest and the sole marginal multiple recorded Scott = $ 6'000++.rnrnProvenance: Siegel, New York, March 1959, lot 557.rn                     Ex collection Enrique de Bustamente; offered DF, Geneva, 8-12 Oct 1995, lot 21601.
