WALES" in black; rated at '2/10d.' in manuscript (1/8d. double rate for above 120 miles, 8d. coastal Ship Letter and 6d. for outgoing Ship Letter), with oval "PAID SHIP LETTER / ♚ / DE 3 / 1845 / SYDNEY" in red. Reverse with "TAMWORTH / ♚ / NEW S. WALES" oval datestamp of despatch in black (Nov 27), London cds (May 7) and Edinburgh arrival in red. Some file folds but rare.rnrnProvenance: Collection E.R.
