    1835 (Nov 18): Prepaid entire letter from Port Stephens to London with fine double circle "CARRINGTON / PORT STEPHENS / POST / OFFICE" and octagonal framed "CARRINGTON / POST PAID" both in brown, with "♚ / GENERAL POST OFFICE / SYDNEY" transit (Dec 3) below in black. Rated at '1s.' prepaid in red manuscript (5d. to Newcastle, 4d. local ship + 3d. sea rate). Reverse with framed "INDIA LETTER / PLYMOUTH" in black (Robertson In. 1) and London arrival cds (May 16, 1836) in red.
