    Austrian Shipmail, Mailing Facilities on Board of Ships, Adriatic Sea 1850 (Sept 23): Entire letter from Trieste to Macarsca bearing pair 1850 3 kr. light red type Ia, a fine and fresh multiple, tied by framed octagonal "TRIESTE 23 / 9 V. L. A." datestamp (VLA = Vapore Lloyd Austriaco) in black (Müller 3422p = 280 points). Reverse with SPALATO two line transit and circular MACARSCA arrival datestamps (Sept 29).
