    1886/87: 1 d. violet on blued granite paper, a fine used example on large part cover, trimmed at top, mailed to Vaalbank, Orange Free State tied by circular "Vryheid Nieuwe Republiek Zuid Afrika / Post Kantoor" Arms cachet in brown with "Reddersburg" cds alongside (July 3) alongside. An exceptionally rare stamp on letter. Cert. A. Brun (1957) and RPS (1967).

    Transvaal-Pietersburg 1901: Cover to Houtboschdorf franked by March 1901 1 d. black on rose, perf. 11½, from fourth horizontal row of the sheet, counter-signed in black tied by PIETERSBURG / ZAR datesatamp in black. File fold away from adhesive, reverse with transit and arrival datestamps. A very scarce issue on letter.Cert. RPS (1969).
