    Russia (Latvia) 1884 (6/18): Cover from Riga to Hotham, Victoria, Australia franked by Arms 7 kop. carmine & grey (six examples incl. a vertical strip of three) all tied by 'Riga' datestamps in black paying the 42 kopek rate. Carried on P&O 'Cathay' and thence by the 'Mirzapore' from Colombo. Reverse with Bologna TPO cds and Melbourne cds (March 8) with Hotham arrival of the same day. Some aging but a very scarce destination for Russian mail of this period.
