    1873: 2 d. yellow, wmk. Crown CC, perf. 12½, surcharge Thin Bar (A), used in combination with 1871 1 s. deep green, surcharge Long Bar (C), on 1878 cover to Dartmouth, Mass., USA with "ST. HELENA" despatch cds (May 13) below. The adhesives tied in transit by "London / Paid" cds in red with manuscript "6" altered to "7½" in red crayon at left. Reverse with New York / Paid All arrival (June 8). File fold away from the adhesives but a fine and very rare cover.rnrnProvenance: Harmers, London, 28 Jan 1998, lot 712.
