    1869/73: Covers (4) all from Suez to UK, earliest 1869 covers with GB 1867 6 d. mauve pl. 8 mailed to Hungerford and Taunton, and a pair of 1873 covers each bearing GB 1865/73 4 d. vermilion in pairs (pl. 12 and pl. 13), all tied by "BO2" obliterators in black (interestingly the October 1873 cover has two disinfection chisel slits). Minor imperfections but a scarce group.

    French P.O. in Alexandria 1866: 1 pi. claret, a used example tied to 1866 combination cover to London by "Poste Vice-Reali Egiziane / Zagasik" cds (April 12), sent via French P.O. in Alexandria with 1863 10 c. bistre and 40 c. orange lightly struck with ''5080' gros chiffres. Underpaid as found to be over 7½ grams (French single rate, whereas the Egyptian single rate was under 10 grams, thus this letter probably weighed over 7½ and under 10). Framed "Affranchisement / Insuffisant" in black and reverse with London arrival cds (April 23) where charged as unpaid at 1/6d. The French adhesives with minor imperfections and untied, nevertheless a rare cover. Signed Brun, Calves. Cert. Todd (2009).

    1872: Lithographed 1 pi. red used with France 1871/73 Cérès 40 c. orange vertical pair, all tied to 1872 entire letter to an employee of the Suez Canal Telegraph by Paris Star obliterations in black (and thus proving the Egyptian stamp to have been applied in France), with Paris Rue Taitbout cds at left (Nov 29) and reverse with Marseille cds (Nov 30) and unclear French P.O. cds. A rare and attractive entire. Signed Calves.
