    1931 (May 24): Hillig and Hoiriis Transatlantic Flight -  Airmail envelope franked with 2 c. red tied by "Liberty N.Y. May 24 1931/4.30PM" duplex, flown to Harbour Grace/Newfoundland and mailed then to Copenhagen by boat, receiving on arrival  25 öre blue cancelled "Köbenhavn 3.7.31", signed on front by the pilots. They carried considerable mail but were forbidden by the Postal Authorities at Newfoundland to carry it across the Atlantic Muller 339 = 5'000 points/AACM 1140.

    1934 (May 13): Attempted New York to Rome flight by Pond and Sabelli, envelope to Rome franked with 8 c. olive tied by Brooklyn N.Y. duplex of Oct. 17 (1933) with same cancellations of Jan 5 (1934) and May 13 alongside, crashed making a forced landing at Leact ui Concubair/Ireland with cds of May 15 and Rome arrival of June 11, signed by Pond and Sabelli, fine Longhi 3110//34RNa = € 700.

    Admiral Byrd's Antarctic Expedition 1928/30: Choice collection of 9 envelopes, 4 picture postcards and original documents, all nicely mounted on album pages with description, including envelope signed by Bernt Balchen (Pilot) and Francis Coman MD from South Pole Flight with special cachet "South Pole Air Mail" and Ship cancel "S.S. City of New York Feb 19 1930", Souvenir envelope "Welcome Admiral Byrd on return from South Pole June 19 1930" bearing all signatures of the crew flying to the South Pole as Byrd, Balchen, McKinley and H.J. June, further mail from 'Little America, Bay of Whales Antarctica", lettersheet 'Warm Greetings from a Cold Country" signed by the members of the expedition plus an original typescript dated Waltham Mass. Aug. 11 1926 to Henry Woodhouse Aerial League of America in New York: " ... that I will be unable to go to the Exchange Club at Atlantic City ... I have not yet had any real rest ... after the two Arctic Expeditions in so short time." Viewing recommended.
