    1860 (April 13): Cover from Concepcion to Lima with mixed issue franking of 1859 1 d. greenish blue horizontal pair and 1860 1 d. blue vertical pair, both cancelled by centrally struck dotted "Jauja" handstamps in blue. A rare and most unusual franking. Certificates Philatelic Foundaation (1972) and Moorhouse (2008).

    1858: Lot two entire letters, each franked by a large margined horizontal pair of 1 d. pale blue from Islay to Lima, other 1 d. deep blue from Arequipa to Islay (Scott 3), further reconstructed transfer block with all 19 types of 1 d. blue (shades), one cut into otherwise all mostly good margined used copies with a dozen or more fine stamps, one unused copy noted Scott 7 = $ 1200+.

    1 p. red, two four margined examples on December 1858 entire letter from Arequipa to Bordeaux cancelled by dotted "Areq." in blue, mailed via British P.O. in Callao (Dec 27), thence via London (Feb 2) where framed "GB / 2 F 87 1/2" Accountancy marking applied and on arrival in Bordeaux charged 12 decimes handstruck in black. A rare entire, demonstrating a very early usage of this issue. Cert. RPS (2006).
