    Palestine 1917: Front half of 1 pi. grey-blue postal stationery letter-card, struck with violet star & crescent cachet (Censorship exemption) in violet, addressed to Tul Karm with rare provisonal postmark of "GAZA" in violet.This cancellation is believed to have been in use for just a few weeks prior to the British Forces occupying Gaza in November 1917. A rarity.
