1879: Italy 20 c. orange used on 1886 cover to Gioiosa Marea, Italy tied by "3862" numeral obliterator with superb strike of "MASSAUA / (MAR ROSSO) / *" datestamp at right (Bianchi Type II). 1879: Italy 10 c. carmine rose, seven examples used on reverse of 1889 double rate registered cover to Rome, all tied by neat strikes of "MASSAUA * (MAR ROSSO)" datestamps (Type III). 1902: Registered Telegram envelope addressed to Alfred Ilg, with Lion of Judah at upper left, mailed with "HARAR" datestamp in blue (Dec 4) and franked by Obock Peace & Commerce 50 c. carmine tied by "Djibouti" cds in black (Dec 11) paying registered Colonial rate to Zurich. Reverse with wax seal in amharic "Posta Harar", French Paquebot "La Reunion A Marseille / L. V. No. 2" (Dec 15) and carried on Steamer 'Yangtse'.
