On the Process of Consigning

Consignments to the Corinphila auction in March 2010 will literally be ’in the best of company’. Your consignments will be offered together with the second part of the famous Kirchner collection including rarities of Switzerland, German Offices in China and Classic Austria. Furthermore we have already received an outstanding collection of “Togo” for the next sale.

If you are considering selling your collection, we will be pleased to call on you personally.

Consignments for Corinphila auctions are always possible.
The processing of a consignment is quite easy:

1. Forwarding your consignment

The easiest way is to dispatch your stamps by mail to Zurich. If you inform us in advance (by phone, fax, e-mail or mail) about the dispatch of your material, your shipment will be separately insured against all risks during transport. Of course, you can also make an appointment and hand over the material personally, either at our office or, in case of large and valuable consignments wherever you prefer.

2. Philatelic treatment

After handing over the material, your consignment will be worked on philatelically. Based on our expert knowledge and our many years’ experience, we will decide how to divide your material most favourably into different auction lots. Ahead of the auction we will send stamps susceptible to forgery, which need a certificate from an authorised philatelic expert to facilitate their sale at the best price, to the appropriate expert. In this case, only the costs of the Expertisation will be deducted from your auction proceeds.

3. Auction catalogue

About 4 weeks ahead of the auction, we will dispatch the Corinphila auction catalogue to our clients at home and abroad. Apart from the auction catalogue, our consignors receive a list stating the different lot numbers under which their stamps and collections will be offered.

4. Auction

The auction catalogue will inform you of the exact date when your stamps will be auctioned. The auction is held on our premises. Of course, you can participate in the auction and follow the sale of your material.

5. List of prices realised

Just one day after the auction you can learn about the auction results on our website (see "Auction / Prices Realised").

6. Settlement

50 days after the auction you will receive the auction proceeds in whichever form of payment you prefer (money transfer, cash, cheque). Our commission will be deduct from the proceeds of your consignment.
